On-loan Liverpool keeper Ward dreaming of Huddersfield promotion

Huddersfield loanee Danny Ward is dreaming of achieving promotion to the Premier League with the Terriers.

The Liverpool shot-stopper, who has made 44 league appearances on his loan move, has been a key part of David Wagner's side this season.

Ward is looking forward to playing at Wembley Stadium for the first time when the Terriers face Reading in the playoff final on May 29.

The Wales international said: "It feels as though getting to Wembley was kind of meant to be with this group of players.

"It started with the Bear Grylls stuff we did in Sweden during pre-season and it has been a dream ever since – absolutely unbelievable.

"I've never actually played at Wembley, I've always just missed out with Liverpool, so it's exciting to be doing it with a special club and a special group of lads.

"The journey we have been on this season has been unbelievable and the message now is not to be in awe of it.

"We are 90 minutes away from potentially changing the club's history and people's lives. All the boys here trust each other and know what everyone can bring to the side."
