Stoke City loanee Bruno Martins Indi has confirmed that he is heading back to his parent club Porto for the pre-season.
The Dutch defender, who joined the Potters on a season-long loan last summer, managed 34 league starts over the course of the season.
"I hope I will have a normal pre-season this time," said the 25-year-old. "For now, the situation is that I am going to go back to Porto and hopefully have a normal pre-season with them, not like last year.
"I have not spoken to them (Porto), but that is normal when you are on loan because you have to focus where you are."
The Potters are interested in signing Martins Indi on a permanent deal this summer, and he is hopeful that both clubs will reach an agreement.
When asked if it's goodbye to Stoke, he said: "Hopefully not. We are going to see what is going to happen. I am positive about it. We shall see."
