1951: record victory for AC Milan
On February 18th 1951, during the 24th day of the Serie A championship, Milan defeated Palermo at San Siro with a score of 9-0, confirming its leadership at the top of the table. This is still the maximum victory for the Rossoneri in the Serie A on a single round: the protagonist of the day was Burini, author of a hat-trick; then doubles for Liedholm and Santagostino and goals for Gren and Nordahl.
