France Football have released a list of the 30 best defenders in world football and only three Premier League stoppers have been named.
With the amount of goals being shipped by English top flight sides these days, it's no surprise that only one tenth of the defenders on the list currently play for Premier League sides.
Bayern Munich have four players on there, while Barcelona and Real Madrid have three each. That is a very bad look for a division touted as the best in the world, and there's little excuse for the meagre showing.
Only Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny and Manchester City pair John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi made it on said list. But does Otamendi really deserve to be on there?
