Operations Director of Aduana Stars, George Gyawu has slammed the attitude Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu during their difficult encounter with Wa All Stars.

The Dormaa based club have complained bitterly about the way and manner they lost to Wa All Stars in the match day 29 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

Aduana Stars lost 2:1 to Wa All Stars making the Wa based club champions of the 2015/16 season of the Ghana Premier League. With a match to end the season, the Dormaa based club are with 48 points occupying the 2nd position.

Speaking to Asempa Sports, George was quizzed on his assessment on the match. He said, “What happened at Wa was unacceptable in our football because when we got to Wa, there posters all over the town indicating that Wa All Stars are the Champions of the Ghana Premier League whiles there is a match for them to play.

“With what ever happened, I will blame the referee’s appointment committee because they wanted to cheat us and that was why they brought a referee from Wa to officiate this crucial match and on the field of play, the referee clearly showed that he is not capable of officiating the match. When the referee whistled for the second penalty, I stood up and told the players not to play the match again but the owner prompted me to ask them to continue the match.

“The most surprising person was Maxwell Konadu. I was told my CEO that Maxwell Konadu jubilated when the referee whistled for the second penalty and I was really surprised because he shouldn’t do that because he is a national team coach.

“After the penalty was scored, my CEO asked him that was that a penalty and before he realized a body guard of Maxwell started beating Mr. Commey. For me his attitude doesn’t deserve to be a national team coach.” He added.
