The coach of Orlando Pirates Muhsin Ertugral has confirmed that Edwin Gyimah will not feature in the Telkom Knockout tie against Golden Arrows because of a tendon injury.

The 25-year-old defender picked up an injury on international duty with Ghana in their 1-1 draw against South Africa after coming on as a second-half substitute.

"Gyimah - on his tendon has a big problem," Ertugral told reporters.

"You know, the tendon doesn't have it's own blood circulation so any other contact can burst that maybe, which could be a problem so we'll see. Yesterday he trained and went back in the dressing room again," he concluded

The Ghana international was recently embroiled in an altercation with the Turkish trainer at the Cape Town International Airport. However, the two have since patched things up.

Gyimah's position is expected to be filled by Justice Chabalala or Happy Jele on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium.
