Otto Addo unveils 26-man squad for friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda

Coach Otto Addo has announced a 26-man squad for the upcoming international friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda.

The games, set to take place in Marrakech, Morocco during the international break.

The squad features a mix of experienced players and newcomers, with five players earning their debut call-ups. Bolivia-based David Akologo, Nordsjaelland forward Ibrahim Osman, France-based Nathaniel Adjei, and Diomande Mohammed of Rangers of Scotland have all been recognized for their exceptional performances with their respective clubs. Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare is the fifth player to receive a maiden call-up.

Brighton and Hove Albion right back Tariq Lamptey returns to the squad after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the Africa Cup of Nations. Left back Patrick Kpozo, Leicester winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and midfielder Edmund Addo have also made a return to the team.

The squad also includes experienced players such as captain Andre Ayew, forward Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Osman Bukari, Samed Abdul Samed, and Elisha Owusu.

Ghana is set to face Nigeria on Friday, March 22, and will then take on Uganda four days later.

The friendlies will provide coach Otto Addo an opportunity to assess his squad ahead of future assignments.
