Otumfuo tasks ex-Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to find a new coach for Asante Kotoko

The owner and Life Patron of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II has held a meeting with legends of Asante Kotoko and members of the various supporters group.

At the meeting held on Friday, July 21, Otumfuo tasked former Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah to find a new head coach to manage the Porcupine Warriors side.

The Life Patron of Asante Kotoko among other things discussed with the legends of the club how to achieve success in the coming seasons.

According to sources based in Kumasi, Otumfuo also provided an update on the state of the club where he indicated that the outgoing Chief Executive Office of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah is owed unpaid salaries.

The legends of Asante Kotoko and members of the National Circles Council expressed appreciation to Otumfuo for the audience and pledged to continue supporting the club.

Although things did not go well last season, there is hope that things will change next season.

Veteran coach James Kwesi Appiah is expected to report to Manhyia after finding the new head coach for Asante Kotoko.
