AshGold CEO Emmanuel Frimpong has set a semi-final target for the Club in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup competition.
AshGold will be representing Ghana in next year’s inter-club competition as the reigning NC Special Cup Champions after the Ghana Football Association canceled the 2019-2020 season.
The Obuasi-based club together with Kotoko will be Ghana’s two representatives in Africa.
Frimpong wants to get off to a good start in his role as the Chief Executive Officer of the Club by ensuring his side get to the semi-finals in the competition.
Speaking to local radio station Ashh FM he said
“Our target is the semi-finals stage of the competition, and the aim is to put Ashantigold on the African Football map as one of the biggest football clubs,”
“We are searching for young talented players to help the experience once to reach our target,” he added.
AshGold were kicked out of the CAF Confederation Cup by Moroccan side RS Berkane in the second round last year.
