Former Asante Kotoko National Circles Council Chairman, Kwaku Amponsah has hinted that they are aiming to play in the CAF Champions League next season.

He made this revelation ahead of their Matchday 19 games against Bibiani Gold Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium scheduled for today.

Having suffered a shocking defeat against Heart of Lions last weekend, the Porcupine Warriors will hope to record their first win of the second half of the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

Speaking in an interview, Kweku Amponsah said having suffered elimination from the FA Cup, they are aiming to fight to win the Premier League which will propel them to play in the CAF inter-club competition.

"Our target is to win the Premier League. We have had a meeting with the players and we have made it clear to them to win the Premier League," he told Kumasi-based Pure FM.

"We are out of the FA Cup and the only trophy left for us is the Premier League trophy. We will fight to win the Premier League because we want to play in Africa next season. After all, that is where we deserve to play," he added.

The much-anticipated game has been scheduled at 15:00 GMT.
