Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Isaac Asiamah says the over reliance on football as a country is the major factor to the downward spiral of other sporting disciplines.
At the launch of the fifth edition of Ghana's Fastest Human in Accra on Tuesday the Minister indicated that it's about time other supporting disciplines are looked at.
"I think over the years the over reliance on football has not helped the country. There must be a paradigm shift. So, it's good news, the President wants us to promote all sports," he said.
The Minister who identifies his ministry as a Ministry for all sports assured members of the public they will do all they can to promote Athletics.
"I can assure you that Athletics will be given a good boost under the Presidency of Nana Akuffo Addo." He added.
