SWAG vice president, Maurice Quansah, believes that the ownership structure of Kotoko at the moment will pose a challenge for the recently appointed CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah.
He also hammered on the fact that there is lack of consistency at the club and that will pose a huge problem for Amponsah.
“It was good to see Kwame Kyei and Nana Yaw flanked by other board members. That is the first assignment but it is the beginning of a major task. What are some of the blocks he will face?" he quizzed on Joy FM.
"There is a lack of consistency at the club. It is not that they have not been great men leading the club. I have seen many. Look at the last 20 years, people came in with big vision but from where I sit, the ownership structure poses a problem. Otumfuo owns the club, you basically work at his pleasure. He has a council of advisors so sometimes there are so many power blocks.”
Amponsah has been given a three-year mandate by Kotoko.
