Palermo's Starting 11 if They Had Kept All of Their Top Stars Is Incredible

Plenty of clubs could boast fantastic sides had they resisted big money transfers for their players.

Southampton are often cited as a team who could be competing at the top of the Premier League had they managed to keep their top stars, with Sadio Mane, Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Morgan Schneiderlin just a few of the stars to have left St Mary's in recent years.

However, the Saints have nothing on Serie A sidePalermo when it comes to hypothetical lineups. The Italian club have seen some top talent leave theStadio Renzo Barbera, with the likes of Edinson Cavani, Javier Pastore and Andrea Barzagli all leaving for bigger things.

Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian also features, while Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala also left Palermo for a top side. Cavani is currently the top scorer in Europe's top domestic leagues, having scored 27 Ligue 1 goals so far this season.

Palermo could definitely do witha number of these players returning to the club, with the side currently in the relegation places in Serie A. They have conceded 50 goals, one of the worst defensive records in the league, and Emerson, Kamil Glik and Salvatore Sirigu would no doubt stiffen up their back line.
