President Nana Akufo-Addo has lauded Black Stars and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey for his impact in the doubleheader against a star studded Nigerian side.

Thomas Partey and the entire Black Stars contingent met the President and Vice President on Wednesday afternoon at the Jubilee House.

Skipper of the side Thomas Partey scored in the second leg encounter of the playoff on Tuesday evening at the Moshood Abiola Stadium but his goal was cancelled out from the spot by Nigerian captain William Troost Ekong.

Thomas Partey was given a souvenir by the President during the meeting today.

He featured in the first leg against the Nigerians alongside midfielder Baba Iddrisu at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Partey wore the captain's armband due to the absence of Andre Ayew who was suspended after getting a red card against Comoros Islands during the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations.
