Real Madrid centre back Pepe has rejected offers from severalPremier League clubs and agreed to sign a contract extension at the Bernabeu, according to reports in theMirror.
It was understood that both Chelsea and Manchester City were interested in signing the defender, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.

However, with Los Blancos currently banned from signing new players until January 2018, the club are keen to keep as many of their players as possible and despite Pepe closing in on his 34th birthday, they have offered the Portuguese internationala new two year deal which should be signed in the coming days.
Pepe has enjoyed a successful career at the Bernabeu ever since he signed for Real Madrid from Porto back in 2007.
Well known for being something of a hot head, the 33-year-old has been an integral part of the Madrid defence for many years and formed a strong partnership with Sergio Ramos at the heart of the Los Blancos defence.
In his nine years at the club, Pepe has won numerous trophies including two Champions League titles, the second of which was claimed back in May when Real beat their bitter rivals, Atletico Madrid, to claim their 11th European crown.
Pepe has since won the European Championships with Portugal and his new deal will cap off what has been a successful year for the defender, as he looks set to remain at the Bernabeu for at least two more years.
The centre back is currently out of first team action due toinjury and missed Real Madrid's 2-1 win over Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday, which confirmed the club's qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
