">'El Partidazo' programme on Cadena COPE has revealed the existence of an offer from Hebei China Fortune that would pay the centre-back around €15m per year.

That is three times Pepe's existing €5m annual salary at Real and would also see him reunited with former Bernabeu coach Manuel Pellegrini, who joined Hebei in August following his dismissal by Manchester City at the end of the last domestic European season.

Pepe worked under Pellegrini during the 2009/10 season, and an exit will bring his 10-year association with the club to an end after initially arriving from Porto in 2007.

The 33-year-old, who will celebrate his 34th birthday next month, has only been used sparingly by current boss Zinedine Zidane so far this season. As a back-up, he's started just eight games in La Liga and has been called upon only twice since the end of October.

Pepe has won two La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys, two Spanish Super Cups, two Champions Leagues and two FIFA Club World Cups with Los Blancos.
