Goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy was named EMWL-DREAMS FC Player of the Match in Sunday’s 2-0 away defeat to Sekondi Hasaacas in the week 21 fixture of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.
McCarthy was at his usual best as his good reflexes and timely saves prevented the home team from scoring more goals.
The experienced goalkeeper was one of the major signings for the club during the second transfer window of the ongoing campaign and has gone on to become an integral member of Manager Akonnor’s squad.
This is the third time the former Black Stars goalie has won the prestigious prize having previously emerged tops in Dreams FC’s win over New Edubiase and Liberty Professionals on match-day 17 and 19 respectively.
Abdul Bashiru, Emmanuel Lomotey are the only players to have achieved such feat.
