Philipp Lahm insists his Bayern Munich side must rediscover their edge if they are to reach top form this season.

The Bavarians had begun the season with a 100% record but their first defeat of the season came at the Vicente Calderon when Atletico Madrid beat them 1-0 in the Champions League.

That wasthen followed by the first dropped points of the league season when Cologne grabbed an equaliser at the Allianz Arena.

Carlo Ancelotti's side now resume Bundesliga duties following the international break and take onEintracht Frankfurt as they look to get back to winning ways.

Lahm was quoted in theDaily Mailas saying: "What is clear is that we need to improve if we are to challenge for all titles,We must improve our aggressiveness because that has been our trademark in the past few years, to show the opponent they cannot get anything against us. We need to do that better."

World Cup winner Lahm also heaped praise on both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery who have enjoyed fruitful starts to the season.

"They are both showing what quality they have, they have the experience and have been playing at top level for years. They are winners."

Bayern currently sit top of the Bundesliga, three points ahead of Hertha Berlin and four clear of Borussia Dortmund whom are expected to be Bayern's closest challengers.

The men from the capital travel to Dortmund on Friday night which gives the Bavarianschance to open up further daylight between them and their rivals as they go in pursuit of a record fifth successive title.
