Ex-Inter Milan and Lazio midfielder Cesar has said that Liverpool maestro Philippe Coutinho is happy to stay at his current club for now.

The former Brazil international said that he believes Coutinho will remain at Anfield despite interest from the world's top clubs, according toSquawka.

The Liverpool player has been in stellar form this season, already having six goals to his name with five of them coming in the Premier League.

He also outperformed Brazilian team mate Neymar Jr, after scoring the opener in Brazil's 3-0 humbling of rivals Argentina in their World Cup Qualifier.

From last season the 22-year-old has attracted admirers and now Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are continuously being linked with a move for the player.

And Brazilian compatriot Cesar has put fans' minds at ease after revealing that he can't imagine Coutinho leaving anytime soon as he is content in Merseyside.

The Italian teams can't afford him anymore, beyond Juventus, they can no longer pay for players like him. I do not know, but I don't think Juventus want him, and he's fine at Liverpool for what I know, the ex-Inter midfielder said.

Coutinho has arguably been his club's best performer this season, leading them to top of the Premier League table.

Along with his goals he also has five assist to his name and is a regular starter for his country.

Brazil coach Tite recently called him a 'magician' after stating that he's now ahead of Chelsea midfielder Willian in the pecking order after impressing from the bench in wins against Ecuador and Colombia.
