Piatek eager to keep scoring

AC Milan new boy Krzysztof Piatek is enjoying a successful start to his time at the San Siro and is determined to keep up the good work in front of goal.

The 23-year-old Poland international striker has enjoyed an amazing first season in Italian football, scoring 19 goals in 21 appearances for Genoa to earn a move to Milan last month.

I am a striker, so I'd like to score in every game.

And Piatek has maintained his impressive strike-rate with the Rossoneri, netting six times in his first five outings for Gennaro Gattuso's side - including two in the 3-1 Serie A win at Atalanta on Saturday.

Afterwards, Piatek told DAZN: "I always believe in myself and I know that I will score many goals, but six goals in five games are more than I imagined.

"I am happy with the two goals today and want to keep going like this. I am a striker, so I'd like to score in every game."

Piatek is priced at 7/1 to finish the season as the leading scorer in Serie A, with Cristiano Ronaldo 1/5 and Duvan Zapata 10/1.

Meanwhile, Milan head coach Gattuso was keen to praise all of his players after their victory in Bergamo, while admitting that Piatek and fellow January recruit Lucas Paqueta have made a big impact for his side.

He added: "Piatek and Paqueta should be happy with what they are doing, but if they are doing so well, it is also thanks to their team-mates and I think they realise that too.

"The whole team is working well and we must make sure we don't let go of that mentality."
