Midfielder Gladson Awako has called on supporters of Hearts of Oak to forgive him.

This comes after the player failed to train or play for the Phobians for weeks despite signing from Great Olympics.

After sorting out his problems and joining his teammates at Hearts of Oak for training, Gladson Awako says he is aware some fans are not happy with him.

Speaking to 3Sports, the highly-rated midfielder has called on fans to forgive him.

“At the moment I know the fans are not happy with me. I keep receiving messages from most people. Some people feel I have betrayed them, and some people send me good messages, saying they support me and are looking forward to seeing me on the field. There is a little love there,” Awako said.

He added, “But I’m pleading with them to forgive me. I am back and ready to do everything I can to help the club get where it must be.”

The midfielder is working hard in training and hopes to be in the best shape in order to play for his new club.
