Police and Military personnel will be deployed for the Hearts of Oak and the Asante Kotoko game on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians will host the bitterest rivals in the matchday 31 games.

The much-anticipated game has been touted as the decider of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season. Both sides after 29 matches played have 53 points.

The titanic encounter will welcome 25% of spectators due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Not more than the above percentage will be allowed to the stadium.

Speaking in an interview, Henry Asante Twum, who is the Communications Director for the Ghana Football Association [GFA] confirmed that deploying the services of the military and the police have been agreed on to ensure decency at the match venue during and after the titanic encounter.

“That’s very true but this is nothing new," Henry told Ghanasportspage.com.

“We will have joint Police and Military presence at the match venue, that should not be a new thing. For one reason or the other the presence of the two security agencies will help a lot, he said.

When asked about the number of military officers that have been assigned to the stadium, he failed to confirm.

“I don’t have the numbers at the moment, he responded," he said.

Meanwhile, no tickets will be sold at the stadium.
