Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Amoah put up an excellent performance in his side's 2-2 draw with Sporting Lisbon at the Estadio D. Afonso Henriques.

Sporting got off to a flying start, finding the net just two minutes before the 20th minute mark through Andraz Sporar.

Vitoria Guimaraes players were unshaken by the setback and responded 14 minutes from the opening goal. Joao Carlos Teixeira received a pass from Joseph Amoah and finished with aplomb.

Andraz Sporar proved to be a menace for Victoria, grabbing his brace in the 51st minute. His heroics was however cut short 17 minutes later as Marcus Edwards found the net to level matters. Joseph Amoah was in the centre of the action, displaying his passing prowess but stained his magnificent performance with a red card in the 76th minute.

Vitoria had their backs against the wall but were able to hold on for the draw. They are now 6th on the log with 38 points and Sporting are two places above with 43 points.
