Portuguese side Rio Ave set to sign Agyemang Badu

Portuguese side Rio Ave are set to complete the signing of Asante Kotoko defender Emmanuel Agyeman Badu according to reports in local media.

The 22-year old could be joining Rio Ave in the summer after scouts of the Portuguese side were impressed by his performances in the Caf Confederation Cup.

According to reports, Badu has already agreed terms with the Rioavistas ahead of his proposed move t the Portuguese side.

He has attracted interest from several clubs in Portugal and Serbia, however, the Rioavistas lads have won the race to sign him during the summer transfer window.

He joined Asante Kotoko from lower-tier side Phar Rangers and made three appearances for Asante Kotoko in the truncated 2018 Ghana Premier League season following the airing of Anas expose.

Agyemang-Badu has made seven appearances for Asante Kotoko so far in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

He is expected to regain his position ahead of the game against Al Hilal on Sunday after missing the clash with Nkana FC last week.
