Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars engaged in a pre-season friendly match on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the start of the new football season.
In a game played in Cape Coast, the Porcupine Warriors secured a narrow 1-0 win thanks to a solitary strike from Bernard Somuah in the first half.
Both teams fielded strong teams for the friendly contest as the coaches watched from the dugout to assess the performance of the players.
In addition to giving new players the chance to feature in the friendly, both managers used the opportunity to test some of the tactics practised in training.
At the end of the contest, both Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars will look to play a few more friendly matches before the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign kicks off next month.
