English Premier League side Burnley have offered Ghanaian striker Dan Agyei a new contract following his impressive performance for the U-23 side this season.
The 21-year-old's contract with the Clarets is expected to end next month, however, he has been offered a new five-year contract for his remarkable rise this season.
Burnley U-23 coach Steve Stone is confident he will sign the new deal soon.
"Dan Agyei has been offered a contract and it is one which I am trying to progress all the time," Stone revealed.
"If Dan comes back and signs his contract then he will be somebody who will go out on loan or if someone wants to come in and buy him then that is up to Dan. It is his and his agents’ call what goes on from there and as Under-23s coach, it will be taken out of my hands."
Despite his youthful age, he has played for Coventry City, Walsall and Blackpool.
He is currently on the sidelines after twisting his ankle in the Lancashire Senior Cup final defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
