Prisons Ladies to face Pearlpia Ladies in Special Competition opener

Champions of the 2017 MTN FA Cup, Prisons Ladies will make a trip to the Northern Region to face Pearlpia Ladies in the special competition Group B opener.

The Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee Special Competition is expected to kick-off on March 9 and 10 at various centers.

Most of the women's club have shown their readiness for the competition following their display of training sessions on their twitter handles.

Prisons Ladies will open the competition up with a titanic clash against Northern Region based Pearlpia Ladies in Group B fixture at the Utrecht Academy park, same time at Ohene Ameyaw park in Techiman, Ampem Darkoa will also host Northern Ladies in the said competition.

The competition, which has the 16 National Women's League Clubs divided into four groups, has Fabulous Ladies, Ashtown Ladies, Kumasi Sports Academy and Supreme Ladies in Group A whiles Hasaacas Ladies, Soccer Intellectuals, LadyStrikers, and Sea Lions form Group C.

Group D has Halifax Ladies, Samaria Ladies, Police Ladies and Immigration Ladies.

Per the format, winners and runners-up from each group will make it to the quarter-finals with four teams battling it all at the semi-finals and last two will rock shoulders in the finals. Each club will receive GH¢75000 as participation fee.

Quarterfinalists will get GH¢3000, semi-finalists will earn GH¢5000, however, the prize for the overall champion is yet to be announced.
