Prof. Twumasi assures GFA of NSA's commitment to supporting upcoming league season

The Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter Twumasi has assured the Ghana Football Association (GFA) that his outlet is committed to supporting and playing their role to help in the success of the upcoming 2019/2020 League Season.

The newly constituted GFA has made the necessary arrangement and continues to do further engagements with other stakeholders ahead of the start of the local leagues next month.

The NSA will have a key role to play to ensure the success of the upcoming season. Speaking in an interview with Otec FM, Prof. Peter Twumasi says just as they helped the Normalization Committee when they organized the Special Competition, they are ready to offer the same support to the GFA throughout the 2019/2020 League season.

“During the Normalization era, we (NSA) played a major role in helping them, so they (GFA) came to thank us and also seek our support to make Ghana football [attractive] in the subsequence days”, he said.

Prof. Twumasi added, “We did everything we can for the NC even when there were low demand and activities of football in the country, so we will do everything possible to promote the upcoming league as we did during NC’s competition” He added

The new season is expected to kick start on the weekend of December 27-29, 2019.
