Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is likely to leave Ghana international Christian Atsu from his team this weekend as a precautionary measure.
Atsu is not 100 percent fit as he is recuperating from a knee injury.
Last week, Benitez confirmed Atsu's injury and added that was the reason why he had to pull out of Ghana's squad for their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda.
Atsu has some of the best pace on the club and a nagging knee injury could limit his effectiveness down the stretch.
