Rangers set to sign Ghanaian youngster Dennis Gyamfi

Scottish side, Rangers have expressed interest in signing Dutch-born Ghanaian teenager, Dennis Gyamfi after leaving Leicester City.

The 19-year-old refused to extend his contract and he is now being tracked by the Glasgow side,.

Reports suggest that Rangers manager, Steve Gerrard keen to bring him to the Ibrox Stadium.

Gyamfi was promoted to Leicester City’s senior team by Brendan Rogers after the lockdown as a replacement for the injured Ricardo Perreira and trained with the team before deciding to look elsewhere for his future.

The budding talent made nine appearances and scored one goal for the Foxes’ under-18 team this season before the league came to an end due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Born in Amsterdam to Ghanaian parents, Gyamfi grew up in England and is eligible to play for all three countries at international level.

He has been likened to Manchester United Aaron Wan Bissaka due to similarities in their style of play.
