Razark Abalora shines as Azam FC suffer painful loss to Simba FC

Ghana international Razark Abalora starred in Azam FC 3-1 lost to arch-rivals Simba FC at the National Stadium on Friday.

Azam FC hosted their bitters rivalry in match-day 28 after earning a point away against Coastal Union in the Tanzania Premier League.

The former WAFA goalie, who had all balls directed to him had a bad day as he could not rise to the defense of his outfit by losing 3-1 to rivals Simba FC at home. In the early minutes of the game, the youngster got tormented heavily by Simba upfronts recording several ball threats but dealt most of the ambush.

Two first-half goals from Meddie Kagere and John Bocco settled both sides before the second-half commenced. After the recess, the Simba scored the third goal to silence Azam FC fans at home courtesy of Meddie Kagere's 78th minute strike.

At the dying embers of the derby, Frank Domayo scored a consolation goal for Azam FC.

Razak Abalora lasted the entire duration of the game with dazzling display to deny more goals.

Azam FC despite the big defeat are still 2nd on the league log with 50 points, eight points better off Simba FC who has accumulated 42 points and placed 3rd.
