Razark Abalora wonderful save ensure Azam FC win Mapinduzi Cup

Ghana and Azam FC goalkeeper, Razark Abalora has won his second trophy with the club following a 2-1 win over Simba FC in the 2019 Mapinduzi Cup.

The in-form shot-stopper was instrumental for side as they clinched the coveted trophy

The game which had two giants from Tanzania locked horns on Sunday at the Amani Stadium to clinch the ultimate prize of the tournament. Azam, ahead of the clash had thrashed KMKM FC 3-0 in the semifinals of the aforementioned tournament to book a place in the final.

However, Ghana's best goalkeeper nominee for the year 2018 was not overwhelmed with his previous displays as he stood to the task of a defensive sweeper denying Simba FC, who are Tanzania Premier League leaders the trophy.

Razark, 22, in both half made crucial saves to ensure his side walk away with a win at the Amani Stadium. Haunting for a goal to set the pace running, Mudathir and Chirwa scored in 44th and 74th minutes of the game to seal victory for Azam FC.

The 2018 Tanzania Premier league second-best goalkeeper led Azam FC to a mark by conceding the least goals (3 goals) in the tournament. He won his second Mapinduzi Cup since joining Tanzania based Premier side two seasons ago.

He joined the side in the 2017 season from West Africa Football Academy(WAFA) on a three-year deal.
