Bale entered in the 67th minute for the hosts, who was whistled and jeered the for the rest of the match anytime he touched the ball.
The Welshman assisted in the build-up of Madrid's third goal in the 74th minute when raced the ball down the touchline before crossing to Benzema, whose close-range headed pass found Modric for a smashing volley into the net.
