Real Madrid Directors Admit Interest in Bringing Javier Hernandez Back to the Bernabeu

Real Madrid could be set to dip into the transfer market - impending ban allowing - for one of their former players this January, with two members of the club's board of directors admitting that Javier Hernandez could come back to the Bernabeu.

The Mexico international spent a year on loan with the Champions League holders in the 2014/15 season before the Spanish giants decided not to exercise their right to make the move from Manchester United a permanent one that summer - butASreport that a return remains a possibility.

The 28-year-old was subsequently sold to Bayer Leverkusen, where he has revived his flagging career with 33 goals in just 49 appearances for the Bundesliga side in all competitions - including five in five league games to start the new season.

Santiago Aguado is quoted as telling Fox Sports: "Yes, yes I would (bring Chicharito back to Real Madrid) because we believe he is a great player."

That in itself would likely be enough to set the transfer rumour mill in motion, but fellow board memberManuel Cerezo has had his own say - adding:"Chicharito was here at Real Madrid, not that he didn't succeed when he arrived, but players need time to adapt. In Madrid there is pressure toto everything today for tomorrow - he had an opportunity to go to Bayer an he has done well."

Real's transfer ban has seen them attempt to tie down a number of their players to new deals in recent weeks, but the ban remains suspended for the moment while they prepare to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport - allowing moves like the potential one for Hernandez to go through for the time being.
