Real Madrid president Florentino\'s patience pays off as Mbappe seeks to revive talks

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to return to the negotiating table for AS Monaco superkid Kylian Mbappe.

Having pulled back from talks a fortnight ago, Perez has been encouraged by developments since, with Mbappe recognising only PSG as a realistic alternative.

Diario Sport says the teen concedes there's no comparison between PSG and Real and wants the Merengues to return to negotiations.

Florentino, indeed, is willing to return, knowing Mbappe is prepared to drop his wage demands and also Monaco now asking a more sensible price to sell.

The Real president will seek to raise €110m from the sales of Danilo and Alvaro Morata to help fund a €120m offer for Mbappe. The departure of James Rodriguez to Bayern Munich also frees up funds to cover the outlay.

Florentino is so bullish about signing Mbappe that there's a belief of a breakthrough within the next seven days.
