Real Madrid Striker Alvaro Morata Dismisses January Return to Juventus as 'Impossible'

Real Madrid and Spain internationalAlvaro Morata has dismissed rumours of a return to former club Juventus, saying it would be"impossible",despite struggling to break into the Real Madrid team.


Morata enjoyed success playing for the Italian champions, who he signed for from Real Madrid in 2014, scoring 15 goals in 63 games in Serie A.


Speaking toGazzetta dello Sportbefore Spain'sWorld Cup qualifier, he said of a possible return: "It's unthinkable. I'm at Madrid. That said, it is clear that I hope Juve always wins and always will do. But I do not think I can return.


"It is a great feeling to be back “ I really want to play in Turin and if I have a spare minute to spend it in the city.


"It is my second home, I found love there and Italy is always in my thoughts. At home with my girlfriend we speak Italian."

The 23-year-oldreturns toJuventus Stadium with Spain and will be hoping to recapture thefine goalscoring form he enjoyed at the stadium.


The striker has scored two goals in 10 games sofar for the Spanish giants under manager Zinedine Zidane, starting onlyhalf of them. He is struggling forgames with the likes ofCristiano Ronaldo andKarim Benzema also playing in the forward position.


Real Madrid wasn't the only team interested in his signature witha host of other clubs,includingJuventus' rivals Napoli said to be interested before he made his move back to Spain.

Benzema has to play to regain form. But with a more effective Morata, its a sin not to start the latter. Zidane will have to decide soon.
