Real Madrid's 5 Spanish Internationals Already Back Training But Injured Core Missing Until November

Published on: 10 October 2016

Real Madrid's Spanish internationals have already returned to the club and have resumed training following La Roja's World Cup qualifying games against Italy and Albania on Thursday and Sunday respectively.

Alvaro Morata, Lucas Vazquez, Isco, Nacho and Dani Carvajal were part of Julen Lopetegui's group, the most Real players in a Spanish squad in more than a decade, but all five were back at the club's Valdebebas training facilities on Monday in preparation for La Ligaat the weekend.

Colombian star James Rodriguez has had a mixed season as speculation about his future at the club continues, but the former Monaco man also offered a fitness boost on Monday after tweeting a picture of himself working on an exercise bike with the caption

He wrote,"Working for a better return", alongside the image.

James suffered the problem ahead of the recent draw with Eibar and was forced to miss Colombia's World Cup qualifying win over Paraguay and Tuesday night's upcoming clash with Uruguay.

The rest of Real's globetrotting squad in action for their countries, including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, will start to return to Madrid over the course of the next few days in preparation for Saturday's meeting with Real Betis.

But the spine of the team is still missing through injury, with Marca predicting that it won't be until at least the city derby against Atletico Madrid at a date to still be confirmed in mid November that Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Casemiro are all back in the team together.

CoachZinedine Zidane recently admitted that Casemiro, out with a leg fracture since 18th September, is the only player in the squad for whom there isn't an equivalent back-up or replacement.
