Real Mallorca midfield dynamo, Iddrisu Baba has set his sight on wearing the Black Stars jersey ahead of next month’s AFCON 2021 qualifier with South Africa.
The enterprising midfielder has been a fine form in the La Liga Santander so far this season and he is aiming to get a call up to the Ghana senior national team.
Baba highly impressed against Real Madrid in their 1:0 win over Zinedine Zidane's side.
“My dream is to make my debut for Ghana and I am very much working hard and looking up to it,” Baba told his club’s media.
“I grew up watching Michael Essien and he has been my role model all these years, I can see we have things in common, I want to emulate him.”
Baba has made nine La Liga appearances so far this season.
