Spanish lower division side Real Zaragoza has commenced the procedure to have the contract of Ghanaian forward Raphael Dwamena terminated.
The striker joined the Spanish Segunda B side on loan in the summer transfer window from Spanish La Liga side UD Levante in search of regular playing time.
Following months of his stay, he was diagnosed with a heart problem that required urgent attention. Following several tests, he was later flown to Barcelona to see other experts.
He has now been advised to stay out of active football indefinitely in order not to risk suffering anything fatal.
It is now understood that Real Zaragoza has begun the process to have his loan contract terminated. They are already thought to be in the market looking for a replacement for the former FC Zurich striker.
Dwamena will return to Levante but will have to make a crucial decision as far as his career in football is concerned taking a critical look at his heart condition.
