Ghanaian striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom expressed his happiness after scoring in Red Star Belgrade's 1-1 stalemate with F.C. Copenhagen to advanced to the final qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old opening for Belgrade in the 17th minute of the game to give the Serbia champions a 2-1 aggregate lead after the first leg tie ended 1-1.

However, the Danish champions equalised through Dame N'Doye strike in the 45th-minute to leave both tied on 2-2 overall.

The Ghanaian goal poacher was replaced by Veljko Simic in the 81st minute with an impressive display

The two teams failed to find the back of the net in extra time and that pushed the match into penalties.

Red Star Belgrade won the penalties 6-5 to book a place in the next stage of the competition.
