Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom delighted to be part of UCL history

Ghanaian striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has expressed his delight after scoring his first UEFA Champions League group stage goal as Red Star Belgrade defeated Olympiacos 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Boakye-Yiadom came from the bench to net his side's third goal at home in the 90th minute against 10-man Olympiacos in matchday two of the 2019/20 UCL.

Speaking after game, the 26-year-old expressed his happiness after scoring and  thanked all his fans for their support and prayers.

“I’m happy and I thank God for giving me this first goal in Champions League this season. it’s amazing and it’s a great feeling to just head the ball and watch how it flies into the net. Its just amazing!

All credit goes to almighty God because without Him there’s is no Boakye-Yiadom. And I also thank all Ghanaians for their support. It’s a great feeling to be part of Champions League history!”
