Harry Redknapp will be reuniting with long time aide Kevin Bond at Birmingham City.

Harry Redknapp safely guided Birmingham City away from relegation this term and the 70-year-old will now be looking to help the Blues to a more productive campaign during the upcoming Championship season.

Redknapp is expected to overhaul the Birmingham squad during the summer and the veteran manager has made his first backroom addition by reuniting with Kevin Bond, with the ex-QPR, Portsmouth and Tottenham coach being appointed as assistant manager at St. Andrews.

Speaking about the move, Redknapp said: "Kevin Bond is coming with me. Kevin was with me at Portsmouth when we got promoted, Tottenham… he's been everywhere with me.

"He's been out managing a team in Hong Kong doing a fantastic job out there – he's won both the cups – and he's come back and I'm delighted to have him with me. I think he's brilliant."
