Referee Awal Mohammed will replace Latif Adaari as the center man for the second leg of the Ghana @60 game between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.
According to latest information reaching footballghana.com, referee Adaari has been ill for sometime and has to be replaced for Sunday's epic clash.
And according to Referees Committee Chairman, Mr. Doku, Awal Mohammed will replace referee Adaari.
“The two clubs agreed with the organizers to the appointment of Adaari. But we had information from, which stated he has not been feeling well for some time and for that reason he will not be able to officiate the match, so we brought in Awal Mohamed who is familiar with this kind of terrain,” Doku stated on Sikka FM.
Accra Hearts of Oak lead the tie 3-1, but will have revenge on their minds following defeat in the MTN FA Cup final to the same opponents.
Meanwhile Kotoko will be looking forward to add the Ghana @60 trophy to the President Cup ad FA Cup they won this year.
