France U20 defender Nordi Mukiele is interesting Manchester City.
The Sun says City scout Gary Worthington watched the defender, 19, start at Rennes last week and is filing a report on his rapid progress.
The Etihad club will look to sign two right-backs in the summer.
Mukiele, who joined Montpellier from Laval for £1.3 million, is rated one of France's best young players.
