In a Match Week 1 fixture as the domestic top-flight made a return after over a year's absence, the Porcupine Warriors hosted the Wonders lads in Kumasi.

Three minutes into the match, midfielder Justice Blay who is on loan from Medeama SC headed home an inviting cross from winger Emmanuel Gyamfi to shoot Kotoko into the lead.

That earlier equalizer separated the Reds from their matchday opponent at the end of the 90 minutes and the home side run away with all 3 points intact.
