REPORT: Gyan promises Black Stars $5,000 bonus
Asamoah Gyan

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has reportedly promised a US$5,000 winning bonus to the Black Stars team for their final African Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda.

According to Ghanasportsonline.com. the newly-signed Al Ahli striker has promised the players an extra amount of money after the Sports Ministry could not fund the total US$8,000 amount because of financial constraints.

The Sports Ministry reduced the Stars winning bonus for the game against Rwanda to $US2,500 to enable them allocate funds to the other sporting disciplines.

This has led Gyan to promise to foot the bill if they win today’s game by topping-up the amount.

The former Shanghai SIPG forward will not be in action for the team after ruling himself out of the game.

The Black Stars will be hoping to record a win over their counterparts from Rwanda to maintain their unbeaten run and improve their FIFA World rankings.
