REPORT: Kotoko agree to hand Sogne Yacouba a new two year-deal

Following a successful meeting between the management of Asante Kotoko and representatives of Sogne Yacouba, the club has decided to hand the player a new two-year deal to extend his stay in Kumasi.

According to reports by Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM, the two parties met at the Sports Hotel on Tuesday to quash out all other misunderstandings to pave way for peace to reign following the past heat that ensued between them.

It is understood that Songne Yacouba was at the meeting which together with Kotoko CEO, George Amoako. The two had previously had some tension between them but all have now been settled.

Nana Kwasi Gyembibi who reportedly made some pronouncement in the past about the attacker apologized to Yacouba. The player also made an appeal that there are certain things management should be doing for him as a foreigner.

Management of the Porcupine Warriors took their turn to express their displeasure on some attitude and behavior the player put up which the player also accepted and apologized.

Following the settlement of all issues, both parties agreed to extend the contract of the player by two more years.

Meanwhile, Yacouba has assured the club that he has fully recovered from his injury and will be available to feature in any of their upcoming matches.

He is likely to play against Hearts of Oak when the bitterest rivals meet this Sunday to fight for glory in the 2019 edition of the President Cup.
