Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Georg Amoako is reportedly going to be sacked after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) elections.
The football administrator is one of five candidates that have successfully been voted for today to sit on the Executive Council of the GFA in the name of the Ghana Premier League Clubs.
Prior to today’s election exercise, Mr. Amoako who had been selected as a delegate to vote on behalf of Kotoko during the presidential elections tomorrow was said to have been stripped off that right.
Though he has denied those reports, it is understood that there is some kind of mistrust between him and his superiors over his association with an unnamed presidential candidate different from George Afriyie who has been endorsed by the club.
This according to reports has compelled the topmost hierarchy of the club to consider letting him go when the whole election process is over.
Meanwhile, George Amoako has managed to earn a slot for himself on the Executive Council of the GFA and will be expected to play a key role under the new GFA president once the Normalization Committee leaves office.
