REPORTS: Daniel Nii Adjei contract set to be terminated by Kotoko

Asante Kotoko management are on the verge of terminating the contract of CAF Champions League multiple winner Daniel Nii Adjei.

Following reports in the local media, the experienced midfielder is set to leave the Porcupine Warriors due to wages. According to the report, the player's salary is huge and should be reduced following his lack of form and playing time for the club. Per his contract, is indicated that he will be paid per his match performance.

Daniel Nii Adjei is reportedly earning an amount close to GH¢ 4,000.00 which is more than Burkina Faso international Songne Yacouba.

The midfielder, who has had less playing time with the Reds featured in their 1-1 draw in the CAF Confederation Cup at home over the weekend against Sudanese side Al Hilal.

In the twilight of his career, the 30-year-old was looking to lead the Porcupine Warriors to a first-ever Confederation Cup title, having rejoined the side in October.

He has been dropped from the Kumasi-based side's 18-man squad for Sunday's clash against Zesco United of Zambia in their last Group D match.
