Manchester City icon Georgi Kinkladze could've been a Manchester United star, it has been revealed.
Former City and United winger Peter Barnes has made the revelation ahead of tonight's big derby at the Etihad.
Barnes, speaking on BBC Radio Manchester, said that Kinkladze was lined up for a move to Old Trafford, before City made the decisive move.
“I was talking to Gio the other day and he said he was going to United," said Barnes.
“He was a United fans as a kid, but Francis (Lee) bent his arm and the rest is history – thank God he came to City."
